Puan Invites The Community To Celebrate Eid With Joy

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, and her family, performed Eid prayers at the At-Taufiq Mosque, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta. On this occasion, Puan invited the public to Eid with a happy heart.

Puan came with her husband and son, Saturday, April 22 in the Eid prayer which was attended by local residents who lived near the At-Taufiq Mosque.

After the Ied Prayer was complete, Puan and her family had time to stay in touch with the congregation at the At-Taufiq Mosque. He also congratulated Eid al-Fitr for all Muslims.

Happy Lebaran, Minal Aidin Wal Faizin. Let's celebrate this victory day happily, with a happy and peaceful heart after 30 days of fasting, "said Puan.

"It's time for us to celebrate victory, halal bihalal, stay in touch, apologize. I'm happy to get together with my family," said Puan in a release received by VOI.

Puan also invited the public to be grateful because this year's Eid al-Fitr, the condition of Covid-19 in Indonesia has improved considerably. That way, friendship with family on the day of victory can be more flexible.

"Alhamdulillah, this year we have been post-Covid even though we still have to maintain our health. I can say this is the first year we celebrate Eid al-Fitr more freely than in previous years because Covid has subsided," said Puan.

Furthermore, the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture hopes that all people can continue to maintain their health at the moment of Eid al-Fitr celebration. To the people who are going home, Puan reminded to continue to be careful and always maintain health, security and order.

"Always keep safety, go and come back safely. And for those who don't go home like me, let's celebrate this victory day with our closest family," he said.

Meanwhile, for all Indonesian people, Puan advised to jointly build the nation and state in the future. Even though he has entered the political year, he asked the public to continue to maintain unity.

"I hope this year will be better for Indonesia. And even though it has been a political year, Indonesia must remain united, friendly, cool and calm," said Puan.

The democratic party must be held with happiness, joy, order, security, and still one nation. It's okay to be different, but still one nation. Because this is a people's democratic party," continued Bung Karno's grandson.

Puan herself deliberately attended the Eid prayer at the At-Taufiq Mosque which was built by her family in memory of her father, the late Taufiq Kiemas. He admitted that he only made preparations as generally in this year's Eid al-Fitr celebrations, including preparing a typical Lebaran dish that became his family's favorite.

"Alhamdulillah, this is the mosque we built for Mr. Taufiq Kiemas, so as a family I chose to be able to perform Eid prayers here together with residents here," explained Puan.

"There is no special preparation. As in general. Prepare typical Lebaran foods such as complete opor ketupat, fried chicken, rendang, fried sambal ati, sayur lodeh, and vegetable labu must exist," he continued.

After visiting the At-Taufiq Mosque, Puan and her family then made a pilgrimage to her father's grave at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP). After that, Puan visited her mother's house, Megawati Soekarnoputri, to gather with her extended family.
