Firli Bahuri Apparently Did Not Participate In The Bandung OTT Walkot Case Yana Mulyana

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri reportedly did not participate in the case or exposure after the arrest operation (OTT) was held. It is not clear what the reason was, but recently Firli has never appeared after being reported to the KPK Supervisory Board.

This news was later denied by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Johanis Tanak. He said, of the three silent operations carried out, Firli was only absent during the case that ensnared the inactive Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana.

"As far as I remember, all the exposures related to the OTT were attended by Mr. Firli except for Saturday he was not present," Johanis told VOI, Tuesday, April 18.

Johanis said Firli's absence was due to a need that could not be abandoned. It was not detailed that the need, but it was confirmed that the alleged bribery related to Bandung Smart City was still ongoing and uninterrupted.

The proof is that Yana was named a suspect along with five people, namely the Head of the Bandung City Government Transportation Service Dadang Darmawan; Secretary of the Bandung City Government Transportation Service Khairul Rijal, Director of PT Sarana Mitra Adiguna, Benny; CEO of PT Citra Jelajah Informatika (CIFO) Sony Setiadi; and Manager of PT Sarana Mitra Adiguna (SMA) Andreas Guntoro.

Moreover, the exposure only heard the results of the arrest activities carried out. He said Firli could read afterwards and at the same time give approval so that the follow-up could be carried out.

"He read the exposure material that will be submitted by the team and approved the results of the investigation team," he said.

Previously reported, Firli Bahuri was reported to the KPK Council by the former Director of Investigation of the KPK Brigadier General Endar Priantoro on three reports, namely related to his dismissal which allegedly violated ethics, alleged leaking of investigation documents, and allegations of coercion in the manufacture of documents related to cases that have not been exposed or filed cases.

In addition, Firli was also reported by former KPK leaders Abraham Samad, Bambang Widjojanto, and Saut Situmorang with the Civil Society Coalition. The report was made regarding the removal of Brigadier General Endar who was deemed to have violated ethics.

After being reported, the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK was never seen in the nose. When clarified by the KPK Council regarding the report of Brigadier General Endar, Firli avoided the media crew waiting at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said through the side door.
