As A Result Of The Collision On The Tasiklamaya Gentong Line, Travelers Are Tired, It Is Recommended To Rest

The Tasikmalaya City Police reminded travelers who use motorbikes or cars not to be careless and alert to cross the Gentong route, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java.

Head of the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Tasikmalaya City Police, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Tejo Reno Indratno, advised travelers to be tired of resting at the post that had been provided to avoid traffic accidents.

Tejo said the Tasikmalaya City Police had prepared posts and personnel to provide security and arrangements at every national homecoming route point in Tasikmalaya Regency. Especially on the Gentong route, which recently became the location of the accident.

"We have also carried out security since Friday, April 14, for the Ketupat Pre-Operation, especially on the Gentong Line," he said.

Kasatlantas said that since Operation Ketupat 2023 it was reported that there had been a series of accidents involving three vehicles on the Gentong line on Sunday, April 16, which resulted in a number of motorcyclists being injured.

The accident began when a motorcycle was traveling from Garut to Tasikmalaya, which was suspected to have gone off the track, resulting in a collision with a tronton truck from the opposite direction.

The incident caused another vehicle to hit the back of the truck, causing damage, but there were no casualties, only material losses.

According to Tejo, the traffic accident has attracted the attention of all parties, especially road users to always be vigilant and careful when driving.

"With this accident, we urge motorists to prepare physical conditions, vehicles, and follow traffic rules, if they are tired, don't force themselves," he said.

Kasatlantas added that the volume of the D-5 Lebaran vehicle is still normal and there has been no significant increase. "For the homecoming flow, judging from the volume there has been no significant increase," he said.
