A Number Of Facilities Ready To Hijack Homecomers At Gambir Station, There Is Water Station

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) provides a variety of supporting facilities at Gambir Station, Jakarta, to provide comfort for passengers during the Eid 2023 transportation period.

Some of the facilities provided include additional check-in gates at the north entrance to avoid accumulation of passengers who usually enter the platform from the south gate or departure gate.

In addition, there is a water station that provides clean water ready to drink free of charge for passengers.

A number of drinking water filling stations are scattered at a number of points in the waiting room of Gambir Station.

Given that the COVID-19 vaccine is still a mandatory requirement for train passengers, PT KAI also provides health posts that serve vaccinations for travelers at Gambir Station.

The comfort of women travelers is also one of the concerns at Gambir Station with the availability of special women's prayer rooms and lactation rooms.

Special elevators and special waiting rooms are also provided that provide free snacks and drinks for panoramic and luxury train passengers.

"DAP 1 Jakarta also adds service officers, security, to ensure that Eid transportation runs safely and smoothly," said Head of Public Relations of KAI DAOP 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

During the 2023 Eid Transport period, PT KAI Daops 1 Jakarta prepared up to 1 million long-distance train tickets, with a total of 1,513 train trips for departures from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen during the period from April 12 to May 3.

This number includes 303 additional train trips for several destination cities such as Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo, Blitar, Surabaya and Malang.
