D-7 Lebaran 2023, Homecomers Via Merak Port Up 72 Percent Capai 74 Thousand

MERAK - The number of passengers for the Lebaran 2023/Idul Fitri 1444 H homecoming at Merak Port, Cilegon, Banten, on H-7 or Sunday reached 74,104 people, an increase of 72 percent compared to the same period in 2022 as many as 43,126 people. Based on data from the Merak 24-hour Post (period 15 April 2023 at 08.00 WIB to 16 April 2023 at 08.00 WIB) or H-7, the number of ships operating was recorded as many as 37 ships. "On H-7 the total number of passengers reached 74,104 people or an increase of 72 percent compared to the same period last year of 43,126 people," said General Manager of PT ASDP Merak Port Suharto quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, April 16. He said the realization of four-wheeled vehicles reached 9,305 units or an increase of 70 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 5,481 units. Meanwhile, logistic trucks that had crossed from Java to Sumatra reached 2,676 units or an increase of 4 percent compared to the realization of the same period in 2022 as many as 2,564 units.

The total number of vehicles recorded 16,492 units that had crossed from Java to Sumatra on D-7 or an increase of 68 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 9,837 units. Meanwhile, the total number of passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra ranging from H-10 to D-7 was recorded at 186,023 people, an increase of 16 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 160,809 people. Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles that had crossed was recorded at 45,347 units, an increase of 15 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 39,406 units. In contrast, the data from the Bakauheni Command Post on H-7 (24 hours) recorded the realization of total passengers reaching 38,608 people or an increase of 10 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 35,075 people. The realization of four-wheeled vehicles reached 4,360 units or an increase of 16 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 3,763 units.

Meanwhile, logistics trucks that had crossed from Sumatra to Java reached 2,276 units or decreased by 16 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 2,703 units.

The total number of vehicles recorded 7,550 units that had crossed from Sumatra to Java on D-7 or an increase of 4% percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 7,260 units. Meanwhile, the total number of passengers crossing from Sumatra to Java ranging from D-10 to D-7 was recorded at 121,799 people, an increase of 5 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 115,820 people. And for the total number of vehicles that had crossed was 27,958 units, an increase of 4 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 26,848 units.
