Travelers Tired Of Wanting To Have Free Nights In Semarang Can Take Advantage Of 12 Tents Of Gombel Homecoming Command Posts

A total of 12 tents of tents are provided for travelers from Lebaran 2023 who want to rest or spend the night while passing through Semarang, Central Java.

The tents were held at the Gombel Homecoming Command Post based on the initiative of social volunteers and cross-community nature lovers in Semarang.

The various facilities prepared are also complete, along with the views of the Semarang City landscape which can be seen from the height as a bonus that can be enjoyed by stop-off travelers.

"We have prepared tents for travelers who want to take a break or spend the night. There are 12 tents with a capacity of four each," said Field Coordinator of the Gombel Semarang Homecoming Command Post, Joko Purwanto, in Semarang, Saturday, April 15 evening, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the homecoming post is conceptually unique with the model of dome tents like a "camp", because cross-community volunteers who join come from nature lovers and social volunteers.

"We were actually nature lovers, we continued to penetrate the world of resistance. Disaster volunteers, humanitarian volunteers who made social activities active, including this homecoming post," he said.

He said the homecoming post which was built on the Gombel Semarang incline always existed every time he welcomed the Lebaran homecoming since 2015, but had been canceled for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"In Lebaran 2022 there will be more until this year. We have established this post in an orderly manner, coordinating with relevant agencies and agencies, including permits from the police, all complete," he said.

The facilities provided at the post, he said, included tents to rest or spend the night, relaxing places, food for sahur and breaking the fast, medical tents, and MCK.

In fact, there is an workshop to repair motorcycles to the "remote control" car game provided for travelers who bring children, so that it can be entertainment.

"The facilities here are all free for travelers and volunteers. The Gombel Homecoming Command Post is open on April 15-21, 2023. So far, there has been no spike, yes, it's still normal. Only 4-5 families of travelers have come to take a break," he said.

Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu admitted that the existence of the volunteer post is very helpful for the government in preparing to welcome travelers on this year's Eid holiday.

"Alhamdulillah, this from volunteer friends has preceded the opening of the post. God willing, we from the Semarang City Government are ready to provide support for this homecoming post. What they need, we are ready," said Ita, Hevearita's nickname when inspecting the post.

Meanwhile, Anik (48), a travelers from Sragen, admitted that he was helped by the facilities at the homecoming post, especially for motorcyclists who needed a comfortable place to rest.

"From Pemalang, I want to go back to Sragen. If I ride a motorbike, I'm tired, here it's good to be able to rest. Plus the view is also good. The facilities are all good too," he said.
