JAKARTA - The Prince of Sambas Sultanate, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) Pangeran Ratu Muhammad Tarhan, participated in auctioning off his collection of Rp1 million of betta fish.

The proceeds from the sale will be donated to disaster-affected residents on Lekumutan Island.

"Alhamdulillah, the prince participated in the auction. He was very supportive and the prince's betta fish was also auctioned and the highest price for the prince's fish was Rp1 million," said one of the auction committee members, Maman Lages, as reported by Antara, Sunday, January 17.

The charity auction which was held for 3 days was held to help people affected by the big wave disaster on Lemukutan Island, Bengkayang.

"Alhamdulillah, the auction for 3 nights collected more than Rp. 12 million. To those who support and donate, we are very grateful," he said.

He explained that Betta Vespa in Sambas Regency was one of the supporters who played a role in the charity auction.

"The community gave the fish to be auctioned off for charity," he explained.
