JAKARTA - Acting (Pj) Governor of DKI Jakarta inspected the traffic engineering trial (traffic) for the red light T-junction area Santa, South Jakarta with the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto this morning. Currently, motorists cannot turn right directly from Wijaya Street to Wolter Mongisi Street in the west due to closure. Responding to this, Heru asked traffic users who feel bothered to get used to it. This is because the route previously often caused traffic jams, so it was finally closed. "Because this is still a trial, drivers who protest cannot turn right and will get used to it. This is all for the convenience of all parties," said Heru at the location, Friday, April 14. Moreover, Heru also received reports from the Directorate of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya and Dishub that usually from Jalan Wijaya to Jalan Walter Mongisidi takes two hours while passing the Santa red light intersection. During the traffic engineering trial, it can reduce the time by only 1 hour. "For those who enter from Jalan Kaptendean, it is a bit uncomfortable because the route (Suryo Street) has increased. But earlier when we counted the red light, it turned out that they (the drivers at the red light) lasted longer than they played," explained Heru. As is known, traffic engineering trials at traffic light Santa, namely at the Wijaya I Street intersection, Wolter Monginsidi Street, and Suryo Street in South Jakarta have started since April 5. Santa's traffic engineering is done to unravel traffic congestion. Because, this point often occurs in traffic jams. More specifically, traffic from the south (Jalan Wijaya I / Antasari) heading east (Tendean) is diverted to the Wolter Monginsidi-right corner at the Gunawarman Street intersection - Senopati Street - Suryo Street or can pass Prof Dr. Sutono - Gunawarman Street - Senopati Street - Suryo Street.
