Police Explanation About Viral Cars In The Middle Of Rice Fields

JAKARTA - The social media scene was shocked by a video showing a Toyota Avanza car in the middle of a rice field. This is the topic of conversation, because the rider is said to not understand why he was able to get there.

In the video narrative, it is stated that the driver was fast asleep in the parked car. However, when the mini bus was awakened, it was already in the middle of the rice fields.

However, Madiun Police Chief AKBP Ruruh Wicaksono has another story about this. He said the incident that occurred in Kanigoro, Madiun, East Java, near a sugar factory, started when the driver, Sigid Priyo Irianto, lost his concentration while driving.

On a road that is quite extreme with winding contours, Sigid daydreams so that he doesn't pay attention to the vehicle in front of him.

"The statement in front of him was when there was a truck, he was a bit daydreaming. According to him, the steering wheel could not be turned straight into the rice fields," Ruruh told VOI when confirmed, Wednesday, February 12.

Then, because the road is higher than the rice fields, the car runs smoothly without a hitch. So, that is the reason that makes the impression that there are no tires or mud around the work location.

Moreover, at the time the incident occurred there were no eye witnesses. Thus, unfounded issues arise about the existence of the silver car in the middle of the rice fields.

"But because he was alone, so there were no witnesses. After the car was in the fields, he got off and called a tow truck," said Ruruh.
