Visiting Grocery Stalls, Batang Civil Service Police Unit Central Java Confiscates 180 Bottles Of Alcohol

BATANG - The government of Batang Regency, Central Java, through routine activities secured 180 bottles of liquor of various types and sizes from a number of grocery stall traders.

Head of Regional Regulation Enforcement Division of the Civil Service Police Unit of Batang Regency, Muhammad Masqon, said that his party continues to intensify operations on the circulation of liquor and prostitution in order to provide residents comfort and order in the environment.

"Yes, today we managed to confiscate 180 bottles of liquor from traders selling in the Wonotunggal and Kluwih Districts of Bandar District", he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 12.

According to him, the regency government has issued Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2011 concerning the Eradication of Prostitution and Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2013 concerning Prohibitions on the Prohibition of Producing, Consuming and Circulating Alcoholic Beverages, as well as Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2019 concerning Public Order and Public Peace.

Based on the regional regulations, he continued, his party continues to anticipate the circulation of liquor during the fasting month so that people's activities can be comfortable and peaceful.

During the operation, Civil Service Police Unit officers also found food stalls and cafes serving liquor.

The 180 bottles of liquor consisted of 23 bottles of haunted beer, 29 bottles of Guinness, 10 bottles of red wine, 40 bottles of AO, 76 bottles of small ciu, and 2 large bottles of ciu.

Muhamad Masqon said that his party had issued summons to liquor traders to be given guidance so they would not sell liquor again.

"What is clear, this operation will continue to be carried out during the fasting month by involving other related service officers", he said.
