The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Boyolali Police, Kompol Donna Briadi, explained that the perpetrator was the nephew of the victim. While the motive for this murder is revenge.

After this case was reported, the perpetrator was arrested by members of the Boyolali Police Satreskrim in Umbul Sidomukti, Bandungan District, Semarang Regency.

For his actions, the perpetrator is suspected of Article 340 of the Criminal Code Subsidiary 338 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 365 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code with the threat of the death penalty or life imprisonment or a maximum imprisonment of twenty years.

Meanwhile, the suspect's serial wife, Mudmainah, was also involved in helping the suspect to sell the victim's gold. The suspect's wife is suspected of Article 480 of the Criminal Code.
