For travelers heading to Tanjung Ru Port, they can now use three Damri buses prepared by the Belitung Regency Transportation Service, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

"We are preparing three Damri buses at Tanjung Ru Port to serve Eid travelers later," said Head of UPT for the Management of Technical Infrastructure for Transportation at the Belitung Transportation Service, Gitono in Tanjung Pandan, Saturday.

According to him, the Damri bus will serve travelers on the Tanjung Ru Port route to Tanjung Pandan Terminal (away - gone) three times a day, namely in the morning at 08.00 WIB, then at 10.00 WIB and in the afternoon at 16.00 WIB.

Gitono said that travelers arriving at Tanjung Ru Port can take advantage of the Damri transportation service to go to Tanjung Pandan Terminal.

"Or vice versa, travelers who want to go to Tanjung Ru port can use Damri services from Tanjung Pandan Terminal," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, April 8.

He explained that currently the Damri bus service is still paid according to the rules.

"For the time being, services are still paid, not free, with the tariffs that have been set," he said.

The Belitung Transportation Agency predicts that the number of travelers at Tanjung Ru Port this year will increase from 300 passengers to 500 passengers (20 percent).

According to him, this is due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has slowed down and there are no restrictions for travelers during this year's Eid homecoming season.

"This year we predict to increase to 500 passengers and 300 vehicles out of Belitung," he said.

He explained that the flow of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah homecoming at Tanjung Ru Port will be served by three ASDP ships, namely KMP Menumbing Raya, KMP Gorare, and KMP Putri Leanpuri.

"Currently, the departure schedule is still normal, but if there is an additional shipping schedule, we will immediately coordinate it," he said.

He ensured that the Tanjung Ru port passenger terminal was ready to serve Eid travelers later.

"We make sure everything is ready, both facilities and other technical aspects," he concluded.
