Banyumas Regent Ready To Implement KASN Recommendations Regarding ASN Neutrality Ahead Of The Election

Clarification of K for alleged violations of election neutrality (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein stated that the Banyumas Regency Government, Central Java, will implement the recommendations of the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) regarding school principals with ASN status who violate neutrality ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Election.

"What is the order of KASN, we will carry it out. We are the executors, who decided on KASN, including implementing recommendations related to the imposition of severe sanctions," said Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein when confirmed in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Friday, April 7.

However, he admitted that he had not received a detailed report regarding the progress of handling the ASN person with the initials K (52).

In this case, he said, the case is being investigated by the Advisory Board for the Imposition of Disciplinary Sentences (Baperkumplin) for ASN. "I have not received a detailed report, I have just received initial information," he explained.

However, the Regent said the case was an example that would be socialized to other ASNs in order to violate neutrality in the election.

On a separate occasion, the Coordinator of the Division for Handling Violations and Information Data of the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Banyumas Regency, Saleh Darmawan, admitted that based on the provisions of Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021, before imposing a disciplinary sentence, a disciplinary examination must be carried out first.

Therefore, he said, the Banyumas Regent's decision regarding school principals who violate neutrality will be carried out after the inspection process is complete and has been tried by Baperkumplin.

"Bawaslu Banyumas Regency has the task of overseeing the process up to the imposition of sanctions to the person concerned by the Banyumas Regent as the Civil Service Guidance Officer in Banyumas Regency," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

An unscrupulous principal of a school in elementary school in Banyumas District, Banyumas Regency, K (52) based on a recommendation letter issued by KASN on March 21, 2023, is threatened with being fired for violating election neutrality.

The violation of neutrality began with allegations against K as an active party leading support to one of the prospective members of the DPD RI from Central Java.

In fact, K also collected electronic identity cards (KTP) from teachers at his school, especially honorary teachers and his wife. The electronic ID card data was then sent to the liaison (Laison Officer/LO), one of the prospective members of the DPD RI from Central Java.

When factual verification was carried out to support prospective members of the DPD RI by the General Election Commission (KPU) Verificity Team of Banyumas Regency in Kalisube Village, Banyumas District, K actively invited potential supporters through the WhatsApp messaging application.

In addition, K also contacted potential supporters who were not present with the aim of ensuring their presence in the factual verification, and the person concerned also hadi during the implementation of factual verification.

The Banyumas District General Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) suspected that there was an election violation, immediately conducted a search until finally obtaining evidence that strengthened the findings of the election violation.

The Banyumas Regency Bawaslu who received the transfer of files from Panwaslu, Banyumas District, related to the findings of election violations, immediately clarified K and witnesses.

"In the clarification made by the Banyumas Regency Bawaslu, K acknowledged his involvement in leading support for one of the prospective members of the DPD RI from Central Java," he said.

In this regard, the Banyumas Regency Bawaslu on March 4, 2023 sent a letter to KASN so that violations of election neutrality committed by K could be followed up in accordance with applicable laws.
