KPK Called Cimahi Mayor Ajay Using Bribes To Buy Land In Dago Pakar

JAKARTA - Plt. KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said the inactive Mayor of Cimahi, Ajay Muhammad Priatna, used bribes to buy a plot of land in Dago Pakar, Bandung, West Java. The land is in the name of his son.

Ajay is a suspect in a bribery case related to the construction permit for the Kasih Bunda General Hospital. He became a suspect after being arrested by the KPK.

"The money allegedly received by the suspect was allegedly used to buy assets in the form of land in Dago Pakar in the name of the son of suspect AJM (Ajay Muhammad Priatna)," Ali told reporters, Jakarta, Thursday, January 14.

Ali said that the money used by Ajay to buy land in Dago Pakar had been confiscated by the investigating team from the developer Dago Pakar, PT Bandung Pakar. The confiscation was carried out when a developer, Dago Pakar, PT Bandung Pakar, underwent an examination as a witness and returned the money originating from Ajay.

"The developer returned the funds that had been deposited to the developer and then it was confiscated," said Ali.

It is known that the KPK caught the hands of the Mayor of Cimahi, Ajay Muhammad Priatna and the Commissioner of the Cimahi Bunda Kasih General Hospital, Hutama Yonathan. Both were made suspects in the case of alleged bribery related to the construction permit of the Kasih Bunda Hospital for the 2018-2020 fiscal year.

Ajay Priatna is alleged to have received bribes amounting to IDR1.661 billion in five stages out of a total agreement of IDR3.2 billion. The money is suspected to be related to the licensing process for the addition of the Kasih Bunda Hospital building.

To investigate this case, the KPK investigating team has searched four locations, namely the Office and Home of the Mayor of Cimahi, Kasih Bunda Hospital and PT Trisakti Megah's Office. From this search, the team of investigators confiscated a number of documents such as financial records that were suspected of being related to the bribe received by Ajay, as well as documents for applying for permission from the Kasih Bunda Hospital.
