3 People Killed, Truck Driver Becomes Suspect In Deadly Accident At OKU South Sumatra

OKU - Ogan Komering Ulu Police (OKU) named RA (33), a truck driver involved in a fatal accident, killing three travel passengers on Jalan Lintas Tengah Kurup Village as a suspect.

Kasatlantas OKU Police, AKP Dwi Karti Astuti said the incident on Sunday, March 26, was due to the negligence of the truck driver. The conclusion was obtained based on the results of the investigation and processing of the crime scene (TKP).

"Currently, the suspect who is registered as a resident of Tanjung Manggus Village, Lubuk Batang District, OKU Regency has been secured," he said in Baturaja, OKU, South Sumatra (Sumsel), Monday, April 3, as reported by Antara.

Dwi explained that it is suspected that the truck took a travel route from Baturaja City to Palembang so that the accident could not be avoided when the vehicle was driving at a sharp bend.

Previously, the deadly accident between the white travel car Nopol BG 1609 ZF and the dump truck occurred on Jalan Lintas Tengah (Jalinteng) precisely in Kurup Village, Lubuk Batang District, OKU on Sunday, March 26 morning.

As a result of this incident, three travel passengers heading for Ulu Ogan, OKU-Palembang Regency died tragically at TKP.
