Garuda Indonesia Manager Testifies, Tjoko Tjandra Objection

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia Operations System Manager Muhammad Oki Zuheini said Joko Tjandra had visited Indonesia using the state-owned airline. This is known based on the passenger manifest data.

The testimony regarding Joko Tjandra's arrival to Indonesia was conveyed by Muhammad Oki Zuheini when he was a witness in the trial of the alleged gratification of the Supreme Court (MA) fatwa against the defendant Joko Tjandra.

Initially, the prosecutor asked Oki about the examination process carried out by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) investigators. The question is about passenger manifest data.

"Has the witness ever been asked by investigators to look into the flight of this case?" Said the prosecutor during a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 14.

Oki answered that he had indeed been asked by investigators about this. In his passenger manifest data, there are the names of five people who are currently involved in cases of alleged gratification, either as defendants or witnesses.

"I remember Pinangki, Anita Dewi Kolopaking, Andi Irfan Jaya, Rahmat and also Joko Tjandra," Oki replied.

Then the prosecutor asked for the manifest data on behalf of Joko Tjandra. Oki said that referring to existing data, he found two trips on behalf of Joko Tjandra.

"If it is related on behalf of Djoko Tjandra, if I'm not mistaken there are 2 manifestations," he said.

Two trips made by Joko Tjandra, continued Oki, from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta. Then, from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur.

Oki did not remember the exact time of the trip Joko Tjandra took. However, the data regarding the trip was presented to the panel of judges in the form of data.

"As far as I remember, there were 2, I mean two round trip, yes CGK-KL round trip and the next one is the same," he said.

Meanwhile, the defendant Joko Tjandra who responded to the testimony had objections. Because, based on the manifest data, the name written is not the correct spelling if it is himself.

"My clear name is Joko without (letter) d. Joko Soegiarto Tjandra. In the ticket order, the name is complete, it cannot be cut into two out of three," said Joko Tjandra.

Joko Tjandra questioned how Garuda Indonesia could ensure that Djoko Tjandra's name written on the manifest data was himself. In fact, Joko Tjandra emphasized that the spelling of his name was not as stated in the manifest

"That is in all boarding passes and so on and it corresponds to the KTP. Not what you say here. It's not at all similar," he said.
