MATARAM - Mataram City Police Officer, West Nusa Tenggara, has again processed the law of a state civil servant (ASN) serving in the West Lombok Regency Government (Pemkab) office with the initials YA (42) related to the alleged case of drug trafficking of methamphetamine.

Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Mataram Police Commissioner I Made Yogi Purusa Utama said that the legal process for YA is currently underway starting from the arrest, Tuesday night.

"So, the legal process against YA is still in the examination stage. There has been no status determination because we just arrested the person concerned last night at his house in the Ampenan area," said Yogi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 29.

During YA's arrest, the police confiscated evidence that corroborated the alleged role of the ASN as a drug dealer. The evidence is in the form of a methamphetamine package ready for distribution, a shabu-shabu suction device, and cash allegedly from the sale.

"From last night's arrest, there are allegations that the person concerned not only sold, but also provided a place to consume," he said.

Yogi revealed that YA is one of the men who has long been on the police wanted list (DPO).

"We have been targeted for a long time, and now we have managed to catch it," he said.

From his criminal record, Yogi said that YA had served a criminal sentence related to a similar case in 2018.

"The sentence was 2 years in prison," he said.

Yogi questioned YA's status, which is still an ASN, even though he had served 2 years in prison.

"We do not know the policies of the government where he is listed as an ASN. However, for this case, we will coordinate," he said.

he said from the results of the YA examination it was revealed that the methamphetamine that was secured at his house came from a man with the initials M from Perampuan, West Lombok Regency.

Yogi mengatakan bahwa pihaknya berhasil menangkap M usai penangkapan YA. "Saat akan janjian bertemu YA, M kami ketangkap di jalan," ujar Yogi.

From M's arrest, he explained, the methamphetamine package was secured ready for distribution and hundreds of thousands of rupiah in cash which was allegedly the result of the sale.

The results of the on-site interrogation, continued Yogi, revealed that M received a package of methamphetamine from a man with the initials B.

"That same night we moved to search B in the Labuapi area, West Lombok. However, the results were nil, B ran away," he said.

Although B is now in the pursuit of the police, Yogi said that there are two people with the initials T and S who are suspected to still have ties to B's suspected drug trafficking business.

"The last two people (S and T), they are still related to B. There are allegations that they are both involved in the circulation network," he said.

From the arrests that ended on Wednesday morning, Yogi suspected that the perpetrators were in the same distribution network.

The direction of handling this case still refers to criminal charges in the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"So, from last night's process. What we just got was a urine test result, all of which were positive," he said.
