Heavy Rain And Strong Winds Hit East Jakarta, Donating Big Angsana Tree In Duren Sawit

JAKARTA - A large tree fell on Jalan Raden Inten II, No 62, next to the Raden Inten gymnastics building, Duren Sawit Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta on Monday afternoon, March 27.

The tree fell after being hit by strong winds during heavy rains that flushed the East Jakarta area.

"The object of the fallen tree is an angsana tree. We have deployed a rescue team with 4 personnel to handle trees," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed.

Officers received reports of fallen trees at around 16.11 WIB. The evacuation process has been carried out since 16.40 WIB until now," he said.

Until now, rescue officers are still evaluating the handling of fallen trees covering the access to the sidewalks and Jalan Raden Inten II.
