Food Stalls In Mukomuko Can Open During The Day During Ramadan, But Don't 'Vulgar'

MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko Regency Government, Bengkulu Province, made an unpopular policy. The district government does not issue a circular so that food stalls in Mukomuko are closed during the day during Ramadan 2023.

However, there are provisions that must be met by food stall entrepreneurs in Mukomuko. Food stalls are asked not to be too "vulgar" to show their activities. This provision is a policy from the Mukomuko Regency Civil Service Police Unit.

"If there is no circular from the regional government, but from the Satpol PP, food stalls can sell food, just not 'vulgar'," said Head of the Mukomuko Regency Satpol PP Office, Suryanto, as quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 23.

All food stalls and restaurants open during the day during the month of Ramadan because not everyone in this area fasts in the month of Ramadan. For that, he said, stalls are still allowed to run their business but the stalls must be covered with curtains so that people's activities are not visible in people's stalls outside.

In addition, he said, the policy regarding places of business to eat during the day during Ramadan in other sub-districts depends on the policies of each sub-district government.

He said, as the local government, while the permit is complete and does not interfere with security and public order (kamtibmas), please do business activities.

For food stalls that do not respect people who fast during the month of Ramadan, he said, his party would impose sanctions for closing the shop.

"Although the food stall business has a permit, if it violates the rules, we will still impose sanctions for closing the business," he also said.

For this reason, he appealed to the owner of the food stall business in this area to close the meeting of their place of business during the month of Ramadan. This is in honor of people who fast so don't be seen.
