Vice President Ma'ruf Amin: Make Ramadan A Momentum To Improve Self Quality

Entering the month of Ramadan, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Ma'ruf Amin congratulated all Muslims in the country. He invited the blessed month to be a momentum in improving self-quality.

"Ramadan should be used as a momentum to improve self-quality, not just endure hunger and thirst," Ma'ruf wrote as quoted from his personal Instagram page @kyai_marufamin, Thursday, March 23.

The vice president appealed to all Muslims to increase gratitude for the blessings, blessings, and challenges that have been faced so far.

"Ramadan must also be a momentum to be grateful to Allah SWT for all His help that has been given to the Indonesian people, so that we are able to overcome various tough challenges so far," he said.

In addition, Ma'ruf also invites Muslims to improve their mentality. In particular, he said, in self-control and to believe everything that has become the decree of Allah SWT.

"Ramadan is also a momentum to improve our mentality in controlling ourselves, and to continue to be kind in thinking about all the provisions of Allah SWT," he said.

It did not stop there, Ma'ruf also reminded the public not to be provoked by hoaxes that have the potential to break national unity, ahead of the political year. For this reason, he appealed to the peace and integrity of the nation to be maintained.

"Entering the political year, I advise all Indonesian people to maintain peace and unity," he said.

"Not provoked by hoax news and fighting against each other, and upholding national commitment," he added.

Finally, Ma'ruf invites all Muslims in Indonesia to welcome the month of Ramadan with joy and gratitude.

"I invite all Muslims wherever they are to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 1444 Hijri with a happy and grateful heart. Congratulations on carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan to all my Muslims," he concluded.
