Many Of The Disadvantages And Picu Brawl, Bogor City Government Bans SOTR During Ramadan 1444

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya forbade the implementation of Sahur On The Road (SOTR) activities during the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H in the Bogor City area.

Bima Arya claimed this decision based on the results of coordination carried out by him and the Bogor City Forkopimda ranks, including the Police Chief, Dandim, Kajari to Dadenpom.

"Based on the results of the coordination, several things were agreed upon. First, like previous years, THM will be closed during the full month of Ramadan," Bima Arya said in his statement, Tuesday, March 21.

Second, continued Bima Arya, for the operation of stalls, cafes and restaurants in the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H, will take place as usual. However, with the record that business actors are advised to respect those who fast.

Third, it is strictly prohibited to carry out SOTR activities. If found, Bima Arya admitted that he would take firm action.

"We will take firm action. Because so far there have been many disadvantages when misused. So, there are brawls, speeding, there are other activities that come from SOTR," said Bima Arya.

"Share it, go ahead, but it's not done with convoys and processions. If you want to share the sahur, go straight to the location," he continued.

Finally, Bima Arya forbade the public to play with firecrackers during the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H. Moreover, during the New Year commemoration, his party also prohibited this.

"It is prohibited, and so far we have banned the new year. This means that the people will be disadvantaged. Later we will do raids or inspections like that occasionally," said Bogor"> Mayor of Bogor.

"Including Forkopimda, they will tour the Ramadan Safari, stay in touch with residents, travel tarawih to other religious social activities," said Bima Arya.

Previously, the Bogor City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) said that the Night Entertainment Place (THM) in Bogor City stopped operating during the holy month of Ramadan 2023.

The closure of the THM operation itself takes effect from three days before fasting, and three days before Eid al-Fitr 2023.

"D-3 to D+3 Ramadan (stop operating)," said Head of Bogor City Satpol PP, Agustian Syach to reporters, Sunday, March 12, 2023.

Not only THM, according to the man who is familiarly called Demak, his party also asked the cafe not to hold live music during Ramadan 2023.

"There is no recommendation. For the operational hours, Kesbangpol will write a circular, the supervision is from us (Satpol PP)," he said.

"(Including) for entertainment venues, later from Kesbangpol, there will be a circular regarding the operation of THM during the holy month of Ramadan," continued Demak.

On the other hand, said Demak, for the operation of restaurants or wartegs in the holy month of Ramadan, it is not a problem and they are welcome to open their place of business.

"It doesn't matter. If you want to open it, just open it. We also don't scare us. This is a city that upholds tolerance, so please open a place to eat," he added.
