Erick Thohir Tries To Encourage The Local Economy Through The Inauguration Of The BSI Bakauheni Mosque

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir inaugurated the Bakauheni BSI (Indonesian Sharia Bank) Mosque which was built in the PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry area, Bakauheni Harbor City (BHC), Lampung on Saturday, March 18.

Erick Thohir said that the BSI Mosque was the first facility to be established because building something good needed a good start, where the BSI Mosque would later become BHC's newest integrated religious tourist destination in the South Sumatra region.

The BHC Mosque is a form of intention to increase the tourism sector and the economy of the people in Lampung Province and its surroundings.

"If we can move forward with the beginning of faith and prayer, then this step will be made easier," said Erick Thohir.

The seriousness of BSI and ASDP makes the Bakauheuni BSI Mosque can be completed quickly, so that Bakauheni's dream to have facilities for worship before Ramadan 1444 Hijri will be fulfilled.

Moreover, the BSI Mosque was built with the thick content of Lampung culture.

According to Erick Thohir, the BSI Bakauheni Mosque is a marker of good cooperation or collaboration between SOEs to help build South Lampung Regency which has extraordinary potential.

In Krakatau Park which is also being built, there is a role for the private sector, namely Jatim Park Group which is considered to have the capacity to build a theme park. Meanwhile, SOEs represented by Bank Mandiri, are here to provide financial support.

On the other hand, BSI President Director Hery Gunardi said that the construction of mosques in strategic areas such as the Bakauheni Port Area will make it easier for people who want to worship.

"Travelers from Java who are going to Sumatra can rest there," said Hery.

The BSI Bakauheni mosque is one of the facilities built in the BHC area. Other facilities that are being accelerated to complete are Krakatau Park, Creative Hub BNI, Tower Siger BRI, to Tuesday Siger BTN.
