The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has intensified the supervision and monitoring of socialization props installed by prospective participants in the 2024 General Election in West Bangka Regency so as not to violate the rules.

"We are monitoring this as an effort to prevent violations of the implementation of the 2024 election campaign stages," said West Bangka Regency Bawaslu member Ekariva Annas Asmara in Mentok, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Friday, March 17, as reported by Antara.

He said that currently there have been many socialization demonstrations installed by party participating in the election, both displaying party symbols and party officials accompanied by party serial numbers.

The installation of socialization props in the form of posters, banners, banners, billboards, flags, tubers, and the like is expected to continue to increase entering the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2023.

"We will continue to improve this supervision and we have reminded political party administrators so that the content submitted does not violate campaign rules," he said.

According to him, political party administrators were asked to pay close attention to campaign rules, including conveying the contents or writings contained in each socialization prop.

Based on the monitoring that has been carried out by West Bangka Bawaslu with the ranks at the sub-district and village levels, he continued, so far there has been no violation of campaign rules.

He admitted that there had been input from several party officials who informed him of the alleged violation in the installation of props, but after checking at the location in question it was still in accordance with the rules.

"For us, the most important thing is not to include invitations. If we only put up photos of party administrators, party symbols, party serial numbers are not a problem, and do not violate the rules, as long as they do not include sentences or words of invitation," he said.

He reminded party officials to install socialization demonstrations to install them in places that have been provided so as not to interfere with or endanger traffic.
