Health Office Records 3 Toxic Cases In Bogor Regency Due To 257 Victims

The Health Office (Dinkes) recorded three cases of poisoning with a total of 257 victims in Bogor Regency from February 11 to March 13, 2023.

The head of the Bogor District Health Office, drg. Mike Kaltarina said, of the three cases, only one was known for sure.

"Those at the wedding were positive for food poisoning. Those in Kemang have not received the results because they cannot represent the samples," he said in Bogor, West Java, Wednesday, March 15, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to data from the Bogor District Health Office, the first poisoning case in 2023 occurred to residents attending a wedding reception in Babakan Village, Tenjo District, on February 11, 2023.

A total of 85 people complained of nausea, dizziness, vomiting, and weakness after eating food at the wedding reception that took place in the village.

The second case of poisoning occurred in 55 junior high school and high school students at the Marsudirini Foundation in Tegal Village, Kemang District, after participating in activities in the dormitory on February 18, 2023.

Furthermore, there were 117 people who experienced similar symptoms of poisoning after attending a recitation event at the Sirojul Falah Islamic Boarding School, Pangradin Village, Jasinga District, on March 13, 2023.

The three cases of poisoning, according to Mike, were most likely caused by food or drinks consumed by the victim.

Therefore, Mike appealed to residents to ensure that the food and drinks that will be consumed are safe, in good condition and not expired.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the food to be consumed is prepared, processed, and served hygienically and does not contain ingredients that can endanger health.
