Heru Budi: Formula E 2023 General Activities, So No DKI Regional Budget Financing

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono invited Formula E to be held this year. Moreover, according to Heru, Formula E in 2023 is a general activity that is not organized by the government and does not use the APBD.

This was conveyed by Heru when receiving the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo who is also the Chair of the Formula E Steering Committee, Chairman of the Formula E Implementing Committee Ananda Mikola, Chief Championship Officer of Formula E Alberto Longo, and President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Iwan Takwin.

"The name is public activity, go ahead," said Heru at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, March 14.

The general activity that Heru meant in this year's Formula E race, the implementation was no longer financed by the government, but instead used a business to business (B2B) scheme between PT Jakpro as the organizer BUMD and Formula E Operation.

In a sense, there will be no additional costs from the APBD after its planning from 2019 to 2022. At that time, the DKI Provincial Government disbursed IDR 560 billion for the commitment fee from the APBD.

"Mr. Alberto, Mr. Bamsoet, Ananda Mikola, conveyed the agenda for Formula E activities. What was conveyed earlier was this ordinary activity like the general business to business and he understood that this was between Jakpro and Formula E," said Heru.

So far, the Formula E committee has been formed. Like last year, the committee was divided into two, namely the steering committee (SC) or the steering committee and organizing commitment (OC) or the organizing committee.

"As the organizer, Jakpro has also prepared the composition of the committee starting from SC and OC to the condition of the circuit which is well maintained and still according to FEO standards," said VP Corporate Secretary Jakpro Syachrial Syarif, Wednesday, March 1.

Syachrial explained that the position of Chairman of SC Formula E 2023 is still held by the Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo. Then, there are 6 Deputy Chairmen of SC. Bambang and his six representatives are administrators of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI).

Two of them are PDIP cadres, namely the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution and the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi. After his name was revealed to the public, Prasetyo and Bobby compactly submitted their resignation from the Formula E committee.

Then, Ahmad Sahroni is now also Deputy Chairman of the OC. In Formula E last year, this member of the DPR RI took the position of Chairman of the Implementing Committee.

Then, two national racer figures were also included in the ranks of SC representatives, namely Tinton Soeprapto and the owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Indonesia, Ricardo Gelael. Also, the owner of the Sundanese Kitchen restaurant, Andono Eko.

Then, there are two people who fill the OC position or the Implementing Committee, chaired by former racer Ananda Mikola and his deputy is Akbar Himawan Buchari who now serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI).

This year, the electric car race will still be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol, North Jakarta. Unlike 2022, Formula E on June 3-4 will be held with a business to business (B2B) scheme between PT Jakarta Propertindo as the BUMD organizer with Formula E Operation.
