Considered Accident Risk, Police Urge Travelers Not To Use Motorcycles

JAKARTA - Ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) invite travelers not to use motorbikes. So far, the traffic accident rate is quite high, especially two-wheeled vehicles or motorcycles. The National Police supports the steps and appeal of the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi so that travelers do not use two-wheeled vehicles. Because, he said, the highest number of traffic accidents is motorcycle vehicles. The community must also realize the spike in Eid homecoming in 2023 from 80 million to 123 million.

That figure is not a small thing, so people take care of themselves during the Eid homecoming. Therefore, Eid travelers are better off taking advantage of the facilities provided by the government with buses, ships, and trains for free. "We ask Eid travelers to use this facility instead of having to lose their lives. Even though we don't know about life. The public must realize that the government is aiming well," said Ery. According to him, the National Police also hopes that people who go home for Eid will feel happy, happy and safe to their destination.

The police will deploy officers in the field to provide Eid transportation services in 2023.
