Confused, Sri Mulyani Confirms That She Has Not Received Detailed Information On Suspicious Transactions Of IDR 300 T At The Ministry Of Finance

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani revealed that to this day she has not received detailed information regarding odd transactions amounting to Rp300 trillion from 2009 to 2023. "Until this afternoon I did not get information regarding which Rp300 trillion it was calculated from, what transactions were involved, who was involved," he said at a press conference at the Ministry of Finance Building, Saturday, March 11. He explained, in a letter received by the Ministry of Finance from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) containing only the number of letters to the Ministry of Finance along with a list of cases and did not include details of transactions of Rp300 trillion. "If you ask me, my answer remains the same as yesterday because there is no additional information," continued Sri Mulyani. For that reason, he admitted, on the permission of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD, he has contacted the Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center or PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana to ask the details of the transaction. "I asked Mr. Ivan's funds of Rp300 trillion like what? Mr. Ivan, 185 of them are requested by the Ministry of Finance and the rest are PPATK initiatives. "Yes, Mr. Mahfud gave an impression as if there is no follow-up, we want to straighten out the progress today. All the letters from PPATK that were sent to us, either on the same occasion Sri Mulyani revealed that during the period 2007 to 2023 the Ministry of Finance received 266 letters from PPATK related to financial transactions of the Ministry of Finance employees. Of the 266 letters received, 185 of them are requests from the Ministry of Finance and the rest are PPATK initiatives. "From the letter we have followed up everything. Yesterday, Mr. Mahfud gave an impression as if there were no follow-up, we wanted to straighten out this afternoon. All the letters from PPATK sent to us, either our request 185 or those of the initiative of PPATK 81, all followed up," said Sri Mulyani.

He continued, 86 letters were followed up by collecting additional evidence because of inadequate information. "We have followed up on an investigative audit of 126 cases and recommendations for disciplinary penalties were given to 352 employees. This disciplinary law refers to the ASN Law and PP regarding ASN, namely PP No. 94 of 2021 concerning ASN discipline," concluded Sri Mulyani.
