JAKARTA A number of high school (SMA) students in West Jakarta are back in action. They are known to be carrying sharp weapons and planning to fight in the Sumur Bor area, Kalideres, Thursday, March 9. The West Jakarta Metro Police were also forced to secure the 18 students for guidance.

"We arrested and immediately searched. We found several sharp weapons," said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta, AKBP Muhammad Hari Agung, when confirmed, Friday, March 10.

Hari explained that the incident began when members were patrolling along the Sumur Bor area, Kalideres.

Then, the police who were on patrol saw a group of high school students using motorbikes carrying out suspicious activities.

The students fled when the officers tried to approach them but were finally arrested and a search was carried out.

"During the examination, we found one sickle and two iron rulers or millers allegedly used to carry out brawls," explained Hari.

Hari has not been able to explain who the targets of the brawl were and what triggered the action.

"We're still going to check," explained Hari.

The students were immediately taken to the West Jakarta Metro Police for further questioning.

Hari appealed to all students not to do a brawl because it would endanger themselves and local residents.
