MAGELANG Three minors were detained at the Magelang Police, Central Java Police for a criminal act of persecution. Magelang Police Chief Kombes Ruruh Wicaksono said the incident occurred on Sunday, March 5, at around 02.00 WIB on Jalan Kampung Dusun Kayupuring, Banyusari Village, Grabag District, Magelang Regency.

Kombes Ruruh explained that the three children in conflict with the law had the initials HS (16), JN's (16) Child, ADP's Child (16), all three of whom were still students and had their addresses at Grabag District. Meanwhile, the victims are MR's Child (15), FOP's Child (16), and OAP's Child (17), all three are also students and live in Grabag District.

Ruruh explained, Saturday, March 4 at around 20.00 WIB, the ADP was picked up by HS and JN riding HS's black Beat motorcycle. The three of them went to the Night Market in Tegalrejo. At around 22.30 WIB when they were about to return to ADP's house, the three of them faced challenges from their opponents via Instagram (IG).

Through IG as ADP remembers, the chat said 'This week. Come on, let's talk to me R (ready). That's a question of the tone of invitation or challenge. Well, then ADP replied with a Gass! That means agreeing to serve the invitation, "explained Kombes Ruruh, in a short message, Wednesday, March 8.

They made an appointment at SMA Negeri 2 Grabag, because if they don't come they are considered defeated. Because it will be considered a loss if they don't come. At around 22.50 WIB, the three of them arrived at JN's house to take ADP's sickle, JN also brought sickles, left for Pirikan, Secang.

At around 00.15 WIB arrived in Pirikan, Secang, they stopped working to discuss the challenges of private junior high schools in Grab.

These children each rode three rides, and they passed each other later. There was a chase until they entered the village and the position of the two motorbikes was lined up. This ADP group swung sickles at the victim.

"There was a collision and the children fell into the same ditch. There was mutual confusion, but because many residents arrived, they panicked, and ADP ran away from HS and JN," explained Kombes Ruruh.

Until finally the residents secured the perpetrators, the police came to the location and carried out security.

The police managed to confiscate evidence of a sickle about 50 cm long with the handle removed and a sickle blades about 30 cm long with a wooden handle.

Plt. Head of the Magelang Regency Education and Culture Office, Nanda Cahyadi Pribadi, expressed his concern over the incident. It was emphasized that before the incident his party had coordinated with all school principals and provided guidance to SLTP students, and even coordinated with the Ministry of Religion.

Nanda said that her party appealed to schools and parents to supervise children using social media. There is also a need for cooperation between parents and the school in supervising children.

"We will also communicate intensely with schools, stakeholders, and regional stakeholders such as the Camat, Kapolsek, and Danramil. So that similar incidents do not happen again," he said.

The Magelang Police Chief appealed to the public to be wise in social media, parents are stricter in supervising their children's interactions.

"Don't let our children conflict with the law. As in this case, this action violates Article 2 paragraph (1) of UURI Number 12 of 1951 concerning the Emergency Law and Article 80 of UURI Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to UURI Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection.
