It's Fun, Ahead Of Ramadan, The Government Will Distribute Food Social Assistance

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has prepared data on potential recipients of food social assistance (bansos) which will be distributed by the government ahead of the month of Ramadan.

"Because the KPA (budget user power) from the Finance (Ministry), I only submitted the data," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 6.

The government plans to distribute food aid for three months starting from before Ramadan to people in need.

Currently, the government is still preparing regulations regarding the distribution of food social assistance, which is the main target of villagers targeting the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT).

The government plans to distribute food social assistance in March, April, and May 2023.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that the distribution of food aid was intended to reduce the impact of rising food prices ahead of religious holidays.

The Minister of Social Affairs said that during the January-March 2023 period, the government also distributed PKH and BPNT social assistance or Basic Food Cards.
