Kendari Police, Southeast Sulawesi Police said one resident in Kendari City died as a result of the victim's house being hit by a fallen tree during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on Sunday afternoon.

Kendari Police Chief Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman in Kendari, said the victim was a woman with the initials M (58) a resident in Watulondo Village, Puuwatu District, Kendari.

"The victim died when a jambu mete tree hit his house," said Kombes Eka.

Kombes Eka said the victim died in his house after a jambu mete tree fell on the victim's house.

"The victim and her husband were in the house, but her husband was able to save himself, left the house while the victim was hit with his house, resulting in injuries, blood coming out of his ear and died at the scene," explained Kombes Eka.
