Basarnas Team Heads To The Location Of The Missing Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 Aircraft

JAKARTA - Basarnas sent a team to trace the loss of the Sriwijaya Air plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route with flight code SJ 182.

According to Basarnas Public Relations Yusuf Latif, the team has now been dispatched to the location where the plane's contact was lost.

"The team is still heading to the location (the plane lost, red)," said Yusuf when contacted by reporters, Saturday, January 9.

Based on information, Basarnas deployed KN SAR Wisnu and a team of 24 people to the scene.

Furthermore, Yusuf said the plane had lost contact around Seribu Island. Although contact has been lost since a few hours ago, Basarnas has yet to mention that the plane crashed.

"While it is still lost contact, but for certainty, we are still suspecting, yes, we cannot confirm yet," he said.

Regarding this aircraft, based on data from flightradar24, the Sriwijaya Air plane for the Jakarta-Pontianak route departed from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten at 14.36 WIB and the estimated arrival was scheduled at 15.15 WIB.
