MUARA ENIM - Five minibus passengers from Palembang City, South Sumatra died in an accident on the Central Sumatra Cross Road in the Muara Enim Regency area, Monday, February 27.

Kapolres Muara Enim AKBP Andi Supriadi said, based on data collected by personnel in the field, the five victims who died were AA (60), SLY (60), INR (39), MRI (21), and a baby with the initials IQ (5).

"The bodies of the five victims were taken by the police to the hospital and currently the information is being processed by their families to be taken home to the funeral home," said Andi in Muara Enim, Antara, Monday, February 27.

Andi explained that the victims were five of the 10 passengers of the Toyota Kijang Super with police number BG--1386—CH who had an accident on Jalan Lintas Tengah, to be precise in the area of Talang Taling Village, Gelumbang, Muara Enim, at around 08.30 WIB.

At that time, the passengers crossed from Prabumulih to return to Palembang City.

However, when entering the Talang Taling Village area, a dark green deer driven by a man with the initials AR (60) hurled to the left side of the road as it avoided another car arriving from the opposite direction.

The traffic accident is still being developed by the Muara Enim Police Traffic Unit.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Police Kompol CS Panjaitan confirmed that the other passengers have now been evacuated by the police to a referral hospital, namely, Prabumulih Hospital to get medical treatment because they suffered serious injuries.
