JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Sugeng Teguh Santoso asked the South Jakarta Metro Police to immediately thoroughly investigate the case of mistreatment by the suspect MDS (20) against David Ozora.

The reason is, until now there are still many questions that arise in the public that the legal process is deemed unfinished against the causes and perpetrators of persecution.

"The police must investigate legally and procedurally. On the other hand, the rights of the suspect must also be protected," said IPW Chairman Sugeng to VOI, Monday, February 27.

IPW also urges the Police not to hesitate in investigating cases of abuse committed by the children of officials of the Directorate General of Taxes in South Jakarta.

"The actions of the official's child (suspect of abuse-ed) must be punished, including if it is detected that his parents have unnatural wealth. There is a term, 'Children make trouble, you get the sap'. This is an example," he said.

This case, continued Sugeng, is an example for the upper class not to be arbitrary - to anyone.

"This is an example for a good public view, so that official children do not have the opportunity to rely on their father's wealth, they have the right to arbitrarily commit violence," he said.
