JAKARTA - Ukraine's National Bank launched a new 20 hryvnia banknote, to commemorate a year of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, describing the heroic spirit, never giving up and the courage of the struggle of the Ukrainian people.
Carrying the theme 'We Will Not Be Introduction, We Will Not Be Inflicting', the launch of this new banknote was carried out directly by the Governor of the Ukrainian National Bank Andriy Pyshnyy.
"We cannot help but commemorate this date, the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, a dramatic, surprising year, and full of bullets in our lives," Pyshnyy said, citing the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine February 25.
"This is a war that has been going on for us not just a year, not just a decade, but for centuries. That's why we decided to commemorate our collective struggle with paper money."
Designed by a well-known Ukrainian artist, Volodymyr Taran, this banknote is unique and different from other Ukrainian banknotes, because it has a bright and expressive design, which is vertically printed at 80 x 165 mm. This banknote has a series, with serial numbers from 0.000 to 0.000000.
