JABAR - The Garut Regency Government (Pemkab) has prepared isolation rooms at health centers and hospitals for handling patients with differial cases.
The effort was made considering the diphtheria of attacking a number of residents in Sukahurip Village, Pangatikan District, Garut.

The isolation room was placed at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr Slamet Garut.
Especially for isolation services in Sukahurip Village, he said, it was semi-isolation to limit the movement of people between villages. His party also advised the public to wear masks.
"However, in the village now it is already semi-isolation, inter-village movements have been restricted," he said.
Garut Regency Government is currently continuing to treat the disease, including treatment and prevention so that cases do not continue to spread.
"Currently we are continuing to do countermeasures, we treat patients who have tested positive and isolated them, they are separated," he said.
He explained that the separation was to detect and ensure the health condition of residents.
If residents are positive, he said, they will be treated, while those who are negative will be treated for health care and disease prevention.
The local government has also opened a health care post for 24 hours so that it can provide quick treatment if there are residents who are indicated to have contracted the diphtheria.
"We also open a 24-hour post at the puskesmas, if there are patients with symptoms of fever, swallowing pain, cough, shortness of breath, spots on the throat, treatment will be carried out," he said.
Helmi conveyed that the medical team in the field is also trying to vaccinate the community, especially children aged two months to 13 years in the village.
"We will also wait for consultation whether one sub-district or even one district should be waiting for the central direction," he said.
The Garut Regency Government has issued a decision letter from the Garut Regent regarding the determination of extraordinary events (KLB) for 10 months or until November 2023.
In addition, the medical team in the field has examined 72 people who are in close contact with positive patients to detect whether they have contracted a diphtheria outbreak or not.
The case is currently reported to be five positive people in the diphtheria and seven people have died.
