BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Province Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK) will summon suspected perpetrators of illegal increase in the conservation forest area of Air Teramang production in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu. "This suspect owns land in the forest produced by Air Teramang," said Bengkulu DLHK Forest Protection and Security Coordinator Joni Hendri, Wednesday, February 22, was confiscated by Antara. Meanwhile, the Bentang Sebelat Bengkulu Consortium Patrol Team while conducting monitoring patrols in the forest area produced by Teramang Water found that there was an increase in the forest using heavy equipment. With the discovery of the additional forest, the Bentang Sebelat Bengkulu Consortium Team asked for help from the Sungai Rumbai Police to take action. After that, the Sungai Rumbai Police Chief along with five personnel provided assistance to the Bentang Alam Sebelat Patrol Team to find one unit of heavy equipment type exaparator for the CAT 320 GC brand in the production forest area. On Tuesday, February 21 at around 10.20 WIB, Sungai Rumbai Police personnel met with the Consortium Patrol Team inside the Teramang HP area and after coordinating it turned out that heavy equipment had moved and was hidden. At around 10.40 WIB, Polsek officers together with the Konsortium Patrol Team searched the heavy equipment, and at 11:00 WIB heavy equipment was found in oil palm plantations located inside the Teramang HP area, while heavy equipment operators were no longer available. Then the Polsek and the Consortium Team identified the heavy equipment to find out who it is. In the forest area in Rentak Mudik Village, Sungai Rumbai District, it was also found that most had become productive oil plantations. New oil palm plantations are planted, forest fields ready to plant oil palms, and forest lands that have just been opened for plantations.
