JAMBI - The evacuation of crashed helicopter passengers carrying the Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono and his entourage in the Tamiai forest, Batang Merangin, Kerinci, Jambi Province, was constrained by rainy weather. Head of the Kerinci Bambang SAR Post said the evacuation trip had stopped temporarily, due to rainy weather. "The team will move back tonight," he said in Jambi, Antara, Sunday, February 19. In addition to the SAR Team, he said the evacuation was also assisted by the TNI, Polri and local residents to the location where the helicopter crashed, which the Jambi Police Chief was traveling in. To get to the location of the helicopter that crashed, the team had to walk to the location. He explained that if the evacuation trip was continued tonight, the team would arrive at the location tomorrow afternoon. He ensured that the assistance for evacuating the helicopter passengers was complete, only due to weather constraints. According to Bambang, the location was indeed unable for the helicopter to land because the forest area and the location were included in the Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS) area. Previously, an aid helicopter from the South Sumatra Police and a private company flew to the location where the Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono and a number of Jambi Regional Police officials crashed in the hills of Kerinci Regency. The helicopter used took off at around 17.00 WIB from Jambi Airport. The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Regional Police, Mulia Priyanto, said that the helicopter assistance from the South Sumatra Police was to bring logistics and medicines. Meanwhile, helicopters from a private company in Jambi were flown to carry joint personnel assistance from Brimob and Basarnas Jambi.
