SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) has prepared an application for recording the COVID-19 vaccination. This application aims to simplify the work process of officers in the field, so that it is simpler and tidier in data collection.
Head of the Surabaya City Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo), M. Fikser, said that this application was made to make it easier for officers to carry out vaccinations. With the hope, residents who receive the vaccine can be combed well.
"In order to be neat in data collection for vaccine recipients, we hope that everything can be combed properly. Because we cannot manually go through the system," said Fikser, in Surabaya, Wednesday, January 6.
Fikser explained that the application that is currently being designed will be equipped with a list of vaccine recipients connected to a population database (by name and by address). The rest, through the application, it is also possible to find out which groups are the initial priorities for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
"Do not let the person have not been vaccinated to say that they have been vaccinated, or he or she has been vaccinated but not yet. So we have prepared this application to make it easier for officers," he said.
Moreover, said Fikser, the city of Surabaya is inhabited by around 3.3 million people. With such a large amount, of course, a system that can simplify and speed up the work process of the vaccinator is really needed.
"So, for example, he (the vaccine recipient), for the next vaccination he already has (the schedule). Well, this has to be by the system," he said.
According to Fikser, previously a similar application was also applied by the city government in collecting data on COVID-19 in Surabaya. Starting from data collection of COVID-19 confirmation patients and those who have recovered. In fact, residents who have had close contact with patients can also find existing applications.
"So far, what we have done is like the data on COVID-19," he explained.
He ensured that this application could begin to be used when the COVID-19 vaccination process in Surabaya was running. Currently, his party admits that he is completing the application for recording the COVID-19 vaccination.
"We are ready when the vaccine is distributed and the vaccination process is carried out in Surabaya, so this application can run," he said.
