JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked for the status of alleged corruption in the implementation of Formula E in DKI Jakarta to be immediately determined by the KPK leadership. This request was agreed upon on January 17 last. "This means that if evidence is found of alleged corruption, it must immediately be raised from the investigation stage to the investigation stage. Vice versa," said KPK Chairman Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean to reporters, Thursday, February 16. Tumpak said this agreement occurred during the Supervision Coordination Meeting (Rakorwas) of the fourth quarter of 2022 between Dewas and the KPK leadership. This request refers to the investigator's authority as regulated in Article 1 paragraph 5 of the Criminal Procedure Code jo. Article 44 of the KPK Law. "It was agreed that the completion and clarity of the status of the Formula E case would be immediately decided by the KPK leadership," he said. It is known that the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the implementation of Formula E. There are several parties who have been summoned, namely Anies Baswedan to the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi. Later, the anti-corruption commission revealed that there were a number of difficulties in investigating this case. The reason is that they cannot access information forcibly like at the time of the investigation. Investigators need this information but they cannot do much.
