Obtaining One Senate Seat In Georgia, The Democratic Party Has The Potential To Print History

JAKARTA - The Democratic Party won a seat in the United States Senate (US) in an election that took place in Georgia. There, the Democratic Party competed with the Republican Party.

Launching Reuters, candidate senator Raphael Warnock from the Democratic Party defeated incumbent from the Republican Party Kelly Loeffler. With 98 percent of the votes cast, Warnock won 2,223,649 votes compared to 2,173,804 votes or a difference of around 50 thousand votes.

Meanwhile, another candidate for senator from the Democratic Party, Jon Ossoff, outperformed the incumbent from the Republican Party David Perdue with 2,205,082 to 2,192,276 votes. The rest of the votes left uncounted are in the territory won by Joe Biden, with around 13,000 votes to be counted in Democrat-leaning DeKalb County. A total of 4.5 million votes were up for grabs

This is based on research conducted by tv networks and Edison Research. Meanwhile, the final result of the calculation will be known at the end of today. If Demkorat were able to wipe out the two Senate seats in Georgia, it would be a new history in which twenty years had never before won a Democratic senatorial candidate in Georgia.

The victory in Georgia also makes Democrats comfortable, because it makes them dominate the US Congress, both in the DPR and the Senate. Conditions that will make Joe Biden's Government fully supported by Congress.

Interestingly, Warnock, a baptismal preacher, will become Georgia's first black senator. Meanwhile, Ossoff, who is only 33 years old, will become the youngest senator in the US Senate if he wins.
