JAMBI - The Jambi Police Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) thwarted the circulation of 25 kilograms of marijuana-type narcotics in Operation Antik Siginjai in 2023. The perpetrators are residents of Jambi City and Muaro Jambi. "The disclosure of this case began when the Jambi Police Narcotics Unit received information from the public that in one of the houses in Talang Bakung Village, Paal Merah District, Jambi City, it was often used as a place for narcotics transactions," he said in Jambi, Antara, Tuesday, February 14. Then members of the Jambi Police Narcotics Unit immediately went to the place on Monday, February 13 at 17.30 WIB to secure the man with the initials AA. Furthermore, during the search, evidence was found in the form of a package of marijuana-type narcotics in the bag of the perpetrator's jacket. In addition, evidence was also found in the reported house in the form of six small packages and three packages of moderate marijuana in a shoe box in the house. Based on the information from the personnel, the perpetrator admitted that the marijuana belonged to him. The perpetrator picked up the marijuana along with another perpetrator with the initials LA on the orders of a person with the initials R, whose whereabouts are currently still being investigated by the police. He explained from the confession that the perpetrator AA still had a package of marijuana, the perpetrator with the initials MF. Then, Jambi Police personnel secured MF at his home in Tangkit Lama Village, Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency. From this location, evidence was found in the form of 23 large packages and a package of marijuana being found in the kitchen of the house. Further developments, officers secured the LA perpetrators in Talang Bakung Village, Paal Merah District, Jambi City. Niko said the perpetrator who was arrested was a drug trafficking network in Jambi. The perpetrator got the marijuana from North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
