BENGKULU - The Bengkulu City Resort Police (Polresta) confiscated 157 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles since early February 2023 for carrying out illegal racing actions without using standard exhausts and not wearing vehicle number plates.

The Head of Ops, Kompol Jufri, said that the 157 vehicles consisted of 52 four-wheeled vehicles and 105 two-wheeled vehicles. "Since early February 2023, 157 vehicles have been confiscated and about 20 four-wheeled vehicles and 30 two-wheeled vehicles have been taken by motorists," said Jufri as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 13.

In addition, to reduce illegal racing activities on roads and use of non-standard exhausts, his party routinely carries out operations every day. If in the operation, vehicles that use non-standard exhausts and carry out illegal racing actions will be ticketed on the spot and confiscated vehicles on the spot. Furthermore, the vehicle will be confiscated at the Bengkulu Police Headquarters for one month until the trial period is over.
