KIB Join KIR Baru Wacana, PAN IMMEDIATELY Wins The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) welcomes the discourse on merging the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) with the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR), after the meeting between the Chairman of Golkar Airlangga Hartarto and the Chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar yesterday.

PAN assessed that the joining of KIB which was formed with Golkar and PPP with KIR initiated by Gerindra-PKB would increase the strength that could win the 2024 presidential election.

"At the same level as Golkar, PAN will be happy and happy if KIR can join, form a coalition, and side by side with KIB," said PAN Deputy, Viva Yoga Mauladi, Saturday, February 11.

"Imagine, if KIR is added to KIB, it will increase political power and increase the basis of constituents. So that the candidate pairs that will be carried have the potential to win the 2024 presidential election," he added.

Regarding the figure of the presidential candidate who will be promoted if the two coalitions join, Viva ensures, the determination will not be too complicated if it is decided through deliberation and consensus. "For this reason, the candidate pairs must win," said Viva.

Previously, the Gerindra Party agreed if KIB joined KIR. "Regarding joining KIB and the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition, of course, if it happens, we are happy, of course we agree," said Gerindra Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Saturday, February 11.

However, according to Dasco, the discourse on merging the coalition could only be realized if parties in KIB, in this case PAN and PPP also agreed.

"Living now, the one in KIB is only Golkar or both? If KIB means three parties, I can't answer yet. If for example the three parties KIB agrees, yes we (Gerindra-PKB) certainly agree," he said., Dasco assessed, the two parties will definitely discuss the mechanism for determining the presidential candidate for the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

"Of course, before the coalition, we will discuss what, what is the mechanism. If it is true, and of course we welcome it," said the Deputy Speaker of the DPR. Muhaimin Iskandar.
