The East Jakarta Metro Police are still investigating an elementary school teacher (SD) suspected of being the perpetrator of the abuse with the initials A in Duren Sawit. It was later discovered that the alleged perpetrator was an honorary teacher whose work contract had just been extended as a teacher. "The person concerned is not a civil servant, he is counted as his contract period from January 2023. Teaching since early January," said Farida Farhah, staff of the East Jakarta Education Sub-Department 1 when confirmed, Thursday, February 9. Farida said that his party had not received further information regarding the results of the examination at the East Jakarta Metro Police. Farida also did not know what the case was from the complaints of students' parents to the police.

Even so, Farida said, his party would impose strict sanctions on the honorary teacher if he was proven to have committed a criminal offense. "There must be sanctions. We have also taken direct action with the person concerned by asking about this," he said. Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi, admitted that his party was not aware of any reports of the incident.
