SOLO - Surakarta City Police have again secured and confiscated as many as 324 units of motorcycle vehicles with noisy exhausts or "brongs" that are still rife in Solo, Central Java. "A total of 324 units of Brong exhaust motorbikes, secured at seven points in Solo City, on Saturday night until Sunday morning," said the Head of Surakarta Police, Kombes Pol Iwan Saktiadi, quoted on Sunday. According to the Head of Police, the effectiveness of controlling the Brong exhaust carried out by the Surakarta Police for the past two weeks made the public aware of the impact of the use of the Brong exhaust. "So the police during mid-January to early February, have secured as many as 888 units of Brong exhaust motorcycles," said the Police Chief. According to him, the holding of such raids on the number of complaints and complaints from the public either through the social media or call center received. That, the public felt uncomfortable with the proliferation of two-wheeled vehicles using Brong exhausts so as to lock the ears of other road users. That is, he said, according to Article 285 paragraph 1 junto 103 paragraph 3, Law No. 22 of 2009, concerning Traffic and Road Transportation. Those who drive non-standard or improper motorized vehicles that include the use of mirrors, lights and including non-standard exhausts will be followed up. "Because of this exhaust, it disrupts the concentration of other motorists, because of noise, even this exhaust also disturbs people who have heart problems. Therefore, we emphasize to the ranks that must be searched out in the jurisdiction of the Surakarta Police law area," he stressed.
