Dozens Of Fake ID Cards Found In East Kotawaringin Disdukcapil

JAKARTA - The Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) of East Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan found fake identity cards (KTP) which amounted to dozens of copies during 2022.

"During 2022 we found 15 fake ID cards, they were immediately visible, because the data was not there after we checked. This is detrimental to the community," said Head of East Kotawaringin Disdukcapil Agus Tripurna Tangkasiang in Sampit, Friday, February 3, quoted from Antara.

He asked the public not to be tempted to make fake ID cards, because they would definitely find out and would cause problems. Suspicion arose because the population identification number (NIK) was not registered in the population data. The holder also finally found out that their ID card was fake.

The search results showed that residents were fooled by fake ID cards for taking care of their ID cards through intermediaries. This opportunity is thought to have been used by irresponsible parties by making fake ID cards, even though residents have been asked to pay hundreds of thousands.

"The fake card is not only in the form of an ID card, but also found fake birth certificates and family cards. This is very detrimental, because it will cause problems," he explained.

Agus appealed to the public to directly take care of their population administration without going through an intermediary. His party also continues to improve services so that it is easier for the community to take care of population administration.

Residents can directly come to the office of the Population and Civil Registration Office as well as to the service booth at the Habaring Hurung Public Service Mall. He assured that the management of population administration would continue to be made easier.

"We hope this will be our common concern. Taking care of population administration does not need to go through intermediaries, take care of it yourself, everything will be easier," added Agus.

Agus said that during 2022, the East Kotawaringin Population and Civil Registration Office destroyed 12,269 broken ID cards.

Residents who have recorded data can take care of their ID cards. Currently, blank ID cards are available, so the printing of ID cards can be done.
