JAKARTA - Head of North Sulawesi (Sulut) National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) Agung Hari Prabowo said a budget of IDR 60 billion was allocated for the construction of the Manado Outer Ring Road (MORR) III Kalasey (Minahasa Regency) -Winangun (Manado City).

"It has gone through a tender process," said Agung in Manado, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 4.

After this stage, he continued, it will be continued with preparation for physical work in mid-January 2021.

He said the Rp. 60 billion budget would be used to work on 1.5 kilometers of roads and one bridge.

The work of MORR III, he said, uses a multi-year budget sourced from the State Budget (APBN).

"We hope the residents fully support the construction of the outer ring road of Manado City," hoped Agung.

He is optimistic that the construction of MORR III will unravel congestion due to vehicles heading to North Minahasa, Bitung City, Tomohon City and its surroundings.

Vehicles can pass through MORR III, then access MORR I which is connected to the interchange to access North Minahasa Regency and Bitung City.

Meanwhile, towards Tomohon City, the driver can immediately turn right to access the Tomohon-Manado section.

The length of the MORR III stretch is about 11.4 kilometers and the initial stage of development is 1.5 kilometers.
