7 Elementary School Students In Pariaman Allegedly Toxic, The Health Office For Cek Permen And Drinks Consumpted Not Expensed

SUMBAR - A total of seven elementary school (SD) 04 Pariaman students in West Sumatra (West Sumatra) are suspected of having been poisoned after consuming packaged candy and drinks. Pariaman Health Service (Dinkes) followed up on the incident.

"We have deployed a medical team to collect technical data and supporters needed regarding this incident," said Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Pariaman Health Service (Dinkes) Rio Arisandi, in Padang, West Sumatra, Thursday, February 2.

He said, from the results of a temporary examination of the packaging of candy and drinks, it was known that the product had a permit and had not expired.

"If you look at the products, it can be known that both candy and drinks have permits and the expiration period has not expired," he said.

Rio explained that the team will further investigate whether the cause of the emergence of bad symptoms for seven students is caused by products or because of the wrong way of consumption.

"It is known that children consume by dissolving candy into drinks, so it is necessary to investigate further whether the products consumed simultaneously can cause symptoms of impairment in the body," he said.

He also said that his party had secured the products consumed by the seven students of SD 14 Pariaman.

The local city health office plans to send samples to the Padang Center for Drug and Food Control (BBPOM) for inspection.

When asked about the condition of seven students, Rio said they had all recovered and returned from the hospital.

At the time of the incident, seven students were known to have experienced symptoms in the form of dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and a little shortness of breath.

"Had received treatment for more than two hours, but their condition has improved and returned from the hospital," he explained.

Previously, seven students of SD Negeri 04 Rawang, Central Pariaman, Pariaman City, were suspected of having been poisoned after consuming candy and energy drinks.
