Bareskrim Polri Buka Penyelidikan Baru Mengenai KSP Indosurya

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has opened a new investigation into the alleged fraud case of the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP). The investigation led to the crime of money laundering (TPPU). "There are several cases that investigators have revealed, both the main case and the TPPU," said the Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan when confirmed, Thursday, February 2. Separately, the Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Kombes Robertus Yohanes De Deo Tresna Eka Trimana, also said that his party was investigating several alleged criminal acts that occurred at the Indosurya KSP. In the process, the investigative team is coordinating with the public prosecutor (JPU). "We are currently handling several criminal acts related to Indosurya, we are still coordinating with the prosecutor," said Robertus. Meanwhile, the panel of judges at the West Jakarta District Court assessed that the defendant's actions in the Indosurya KSP case, namely the owner and founder of KSP Indosurya Henry Surya, were not criminal, but civil. In fact, the prosecution's demands could make the Indosurya boss charged with imprisonment for 20 years and a fine of Rp. 200 billion, subsidiary to one year in prison. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD asked the National Police and the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) as law enforcement officers to re-examine the time and location of the crime in cases of fraud and embezzlement of KSP Indosurya funds. "Bareskrim, good, come on. We have a coordination meeting. Confiscated the assets, hunting for the people to go anywhere. We are strong, the cases are raised one by one according to the delicti and locus delicti of each. The state cannot lose," Mahfud said in his Twitter account, @mohmahfudmd, Tuesday, January 31.
